Pound For Pound Rap Contest

That’s A Star in cooperation with Inhouse Records, an independent Hip Hop and R&B record label based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is holding a Rap Singing Contest on the debut of the first live and online variety show in Singapore: Super Show. This is in support of Manny Pacquiao‘s title defense against Joshua Clottey on 13 March 2010 at the Cowboy Stadium in Arlington Texas. The bout will be Pacquiao’s first defense of the WBO welterweight crown. Manny Pacquiao is ranked #1 Pound for Pound boxer in the world, and is ranked #3 highest paid international athletes, and is the first boxer in history to hold seven titles in seven different weight divisions.

The contest is open to all residents of Singapore. The Pound for Pound Contest will be one of the segments of Super Show which is filmed live in Platinum Music World at Lucky Plaza in Orchard Road. Contest proper is on 6 March 2010 and winners will be announced on 13 March 2010, same date as Pacquiao’s bout.

Pound For Pound is a custom production of hip hop song for pound for pound boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. Inhouse Records collaborated with Santos Films for a feature music video. The song was aired during the throwing of the first pitch by Pacquiao at the San Francisco Giants Ballpark, during Filipino Heritage Night. The Trackrunners consists of Whiz Almighty (MC/rapper) and Rei Tracks (producer). The duo is pair of hard working individuals with a hunger to make an impact on today’s hip hop scene.
